Post 6: An expert / person in your field that you admire

I recently resolved thaht one persons I admire most, it´s my trumpet teacher. His name is Eugene King.

He comes from the Kentucky, EE. UU. He arrived in Chile approximately in the 80s. For many years he has been a solo trumpeter in the Orchestra at Teatro Municipal de Santiago, currently he still is.

For me he is an example and inspiration of professionalism and perseverance. He has shown me how to figth honestly in life, with his example as a person. For me it is a guide on how to act in the face of adversity, how I should be a trumpeter, how I should be a teacher, how I should be a classmate, and most importantlym how I should be a good friend and a good person.

Unfortunately the teacher is about to retire, I´cant imagine what the university will be like without him, I can´t imagine what the musical environment in Chile will be like without him.

When I grow up, I want to be like him.

Post 5: How can your major make the world a better place?

I want to clarify, I study my career for personal development. But, when my career is developing, I realize that it helps the development of society, cultural development. I think is the main contribution to the world.

I must continua deliverinr culture to the world, high quality culture, this is the way in which I can participe in the development of society.

The Belle Arts help society connect whit its humanity. If humanity lose its essence, its feelings, it would stop being called humanity.

Post 4: A photo and its story

 

This pictures was made many years old, from a car on the road 64, in the year 1996. My father and I were traveling from Kentucky to New York, on the way to julliard academy. It was the last long trip whit my father.

This picture means a lot to me, because it was a long trip. On the journey I was very feard, I thought, "many thing are coming in my life". This fear was accompanaied by a cloudy day, I found it funny, that´s why I took a picture.

This picture represents a changes of life, it represents importants decisions, Also things that will never return.

Post 3: My Favorite Piece of Technology

I am fan of Technology, but of analogic technology, for this my favotire piece of technology is casette player.

Currently I have one SHINAON WALKMAN, I buy the walkman because a friend give me a casette with classic music. When I listen music, I love it, I travel to the past, the past where the music was recorder.

Currently I have a casettes collection, in it I have there a lot of variety. In my free time, I compare the casette version whit the actual version from internet to see how the interpretation have changed over time.

Post 2: Why did I choose my major?

 

When I was a child I wanted to be cellist, I loved that instrument, but there were only trumpet vacancy. In high school I liked architecture and robotics. All these were my passions before university.

When I was going apply to the university I discard architecture and robotics because labor field was unknown, that made me choose my current carreer (musical interpretation).

My experience at university have been positive because from my childhood I study the trumpet, this experience gave me advantages.

When I finish the university, I would like to work playing in a professional orchestra.

Post 1: My autobiography

Hi, my name is Pedro Pablo.

I am a Trumpet Player, I was born in November, 1978, in Lexington of Kentucky. I am living with my little family, my mother and my brother, in New York.

I am studying in Julliard, my study program is interpretation with a specialty in trumpet. Currently I am teacher of wind-brass instrument in some schools of my city, I love teaching. I was working in the Electric Light Orchestra, thanks to that I have known the  world.
